"It’s like I’ll never be the same。 How can I ever accept anything less？"Thank you Karla Nikole for Jae and Jun's beautiful story。 I loved the first two books in the Lore & Lust series， but I think this one is my absolute favourite。 Perhaps it has to do with being somewhat longer， but there is a new depth to this installment， and so many layers to unravel in the lives of the main characters and their developing relationship。 Lore & Lust has always been a beautiful series for its depictions of tru "It’s like I’ll never be the same。 How can I ever accept anything less？"Thank you Karla Nikole for Jae and Jun's beautiful story。 I loved the first two books in the Lore & Lust series， but I think this one is my absolute favourite。 Perhaps it has to do with being somewhat longer， but there is a new depth to this installment， and so many layers to unravel in the lives of the main characters and their developing relationship。 Lore & Lust has always been a beautiful series for its depictions of true romance， consent， love and trust。 But there was something more in The Awakening， something deeper that I can't quite put my finger on yet。 Perhaps it's seeing Haru and Nino through the eyes of a character like Jae， perhaps it was how Jae and Jun worked together as a pair， or perhaps it was simply that Jae as a character spoke to me so completely。 Whatever the case， I adored it， and I hope as many people as possible pick up this series and enjoy meeting these characters。 。。。more

Love this world！The first book of the series is hands down the best， but I really enjoyed this third book！ I was rooting for Jae and Jun from the first chapter。 These two just felt right for each other from the start， like with Nino and Haru of the first two books。 We also finally get an answer to what happened with the British vampires， but there’s a possibility of learning even more if this series continues。 There were lots of fun cameos and some more insight into the vampires and their societ Love this world！The first book of the series is hands down the best， but I really enjoyed this third book！ I was rooting for Jae and Jun from the first chapter。 These two just felt right for each other from the start， like with Nino and Haru of the first two books。 We also finally get an answer to what happened with the British vampires， but there’s a possibility of learning even more if this series continues。 There were lots of fun cameos and some more insight into the vampires and their society。I’m giving this book 4 stars because I didn’t love the way certain things were handled in this book。 I totally get that the characters each have their own trauma and hang ups they’re dealing with， but I specifically didn’t like how Jun treated Jae at one point and it’s basically swept under the rug。 It didn’t take away from my overall enjoyment of the book， but it was irksome。 。。。more

𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒆 & 𝑳𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈______________⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY （even though it released early， yesterday）。 I had the incredible opportunity to get this two weeks in advance and I can assure you this might be the best one yet。 That’s bold of me to say because Haru and Nino have my entire heart， but this one was the PERFECT stand alone。 I might have told Karla I would have enjoyed hundreds more pages than the 400 it holds。 She can talk vampire romance to me all day long。 Jae and Jun are PREC 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒆 & 𝑳𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈______________⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY （even though it released early， yesterday）。 I had the incredible opportunity to get this two weeks in advance and I can assure you this might be the best one yet。 That’s bold of me to say because Haru and Nino have my entire heart， but this one was the PERFECT stand alone。 I might have told Karla I would have enjoyed hundreds more pages than the 400 it holds。 She can talk vampire romance to me all day long。 Jae and Jun are PRECIOUS。 Can we cheer louder for adult romances？ I adore Jun SO much。 He’s our sexy vampire who’s afraid of bonding and letting his kind dominate him; watching his purebred father abuse his rank over his mother and other vampires broke his trust in love。 Bonding means submitting means bondage means misery。 Jae is our feisty but sweet doctor TO vampires and is a constant companion to loneliness。 He’s so isolated with no family or local friends。 He attracts vampires for some reason and is used to hookups that end as quickly as they began。 He doesn’t really know how to navigate intentional affection and being fully pursued with undivided attention。 We can guess from who。 The communication between these two melt me。 They have so much baggage and trauma they’re trying to heal from and choosing to let someone in and see that？ To be vulnerable and give trust over when your wounds scream at you to run？ Love is brave。 This book （the whole series） is so wholesome， and cozy。 The boundaries， navigation of fears and desires， the way these lovers LOVE。 I devoured this book。 It’s spicy， consensual， so sweet， and exciting。 These characters are flawed but they TRY and honestly sometimes they don’t want to。 They do， though。 Haru and Nino appear all throughout the book， their storyline is the parallel plot to the romance。 I miss them so much。 This series is so much more than I hoped for when I read it in the spring。 。。。more

No words can describe how I felt about this third book。 It was like a breath of fresh air I didn’t know I needed。 Jun es de lo mío personal; and i just loved his attitude and aura Jae as well amazing。 Highly recommend not just this book but the entire series to anyone that’s interested you won’t be able to put it down。 hopefully soon we can get an image to what Doctor Davies looks like cant wait to see what the future holds for now my two favorite vampire couples 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Karla has done it again！ And at the same time managed to out do her first two books in this series！ I am in love with all of these cinnamon roll blood suckers way to much。In The Awakening， we step away from serious Haruka and playful Nino， and follow Dr。 Jae Davies and international fashion designer， Jun。And I love them both。 Their story is intimate and feels authentic and relatable。 Jun and Jae struggle with their own personal baggage and have to learn how to deal with their own problems while Karla has done it again！ And at the same time managed to out do her first two books in this series！ I am in love with all of these cinnamon roll blood suckers way to much。In The Awakening， we step away from serious Haruka and playful Nino， and follow Dr。 Jae Davies and international fashion designer， Jun。And I love them both。 Their story is intimate and feels authentic and relatable。 Jun and Jae struggle with their own personal baggage and have to learn how to deal with their own problems while also letting someone else in。It's a poignant and sweet story with enough queer vampire spicy scenes to keep you reading。It's not easy to write a 3rd book in a series that， I think， is better than the first two in how it crafts its love story。 But Karla has ma aged this with ease。Maybe it's the switch to 1st person that really let's these characters shine。 We get to see them more intimately than we did with Haruka and Nino。 （Don't get me wrong， I love Haruka and Nino very much）。 But this one just bit differently。I was also very impressed by the authentic portal of mlm sex scenes and the overall sex positivity （specifically mlm sex positivity） thag Karla wrote into the story as well。 It didn't just have sex scenes for the sake of having sex scenes， and when there was sex scenes （of which there were plenty） it felt thoughtful from a writing perspective。I very much enjoyed this book and I really want the fourth one。 There had better be a fourth one。 。。。more

I’m actually confused as to how you can rate a book you’ve never read？ Still I saw someone rate this book already low， so that’s my try to fix that。 The first two books of the Lore and Lust series were so incredible and I honestly can’t wait for the third book！ Good luck to the writer！
